I’m so glad you found me! Bringing MTS to fruition has been such a journey! I began candle making in 2020 simply as a hobby during quarantine to keep my peace of mind and give myself a creative outlet to escape the madness of the world. I want to share just how therapeutic candles can be.


Fast forward to 2022 where I am completely finished with school (for now), and I have moved back to my hometown of Stone Mountain, Georgia.


Now, I FINALLY can share my love of candles with the world and help YOU celebrate your most special moments in style. I hope you love them as much as I do!

Candle FAQs

What are the sizes of your candles?

Candles are carried in 3 sizes. Single wick candles are featured in 12 oz. and 21 oz. jars. Our three wick candle is featured in a 17 oz. jar.

How do I keep a clean candle burn?

Trim your wick to 1/4 inch each time before you light your candle. This will ensure the wick does not grow too large while burning causing mushrooming and creating an unpleasent appearance after usage. Candle wicks can be trimmed with scissors or small nail clippers if you don't have a wick cutter available.

What kind of wax are your candles made with?

My candles are made with 100% soy wax. All of MTS products are made with verfiable safe materials and are completey free from parabens, phthalate and cruelty free additives.

Why does my candle seem discolored after a few burns?

MTS candles are made with verifiable safe fragrances and 100% soy wax. Some of our delightful scents contain vanillin which causes a discoloration to the natural soy wax. The layering of the candles after a couple of burns is completely normal and does not indicate any safety issues. Your candle will have the same fragrance strength as your first time lighting it. Don't forget to trim your wick!

What should I do if my candle begins mushrooming?

Mushrooming is an accumulation of carbon buildup on the wick. This is completly common with most homemade candles. MTS candles use CD wicks because they are zinc and lead free. If mushrooming occurs, trim off the bulky accumulation at the top of the wick before lighting again. After an initial burn of 2-3 hours, any bending or bulkiness of the wick at the top indicates it's time for a wick trim to prevent mushrooming.

How do I prevent tunneling?

Tunneling can be caused by a few different things! If your candle did not achieve a full wax melt during the initial burn, your candle may experience tunneling when lighting again. To prevent tunneling, allow the candle to achieve a full wax pool before extinguishing.

Shipping and Returns

Can I add personalized messages with my candle gift wrapping?

Yes! Gift wrapping comes with an exclusive MTS candle satch, samples of the new scents dropping and special decorative packaging. If you have a personalized message you would like to include, please add this at checkout.

If you have already purchased, please email info@melstwoscents.shop with your name, order details and personalized message to include within 1-2 business days after purchase.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Domestic orders are shipped through USPS. Current processing time is 5-7 business days. Transit times may increase during holidays causing seasonal shipping delays.

MTS appreciates your patience during periods of high volume where customers may experience delay in processing and transit times.

I received a damaged items. What should I do?

I am so sorry if you received a damaged product or missing items! Please allow me to correct this and send you the products you need ASAP. Please email me a photo and provide vivid detail at info@melstwoscents.shop for a swift fix of any error.

Candle Care

  • Wick Trimming

    After your initial burn, always trim your wick to 1/4 inch before lighting your candle again. Visit FAQs for more info.

  • Candle Location

    Never leave your candle unattended or with impurities in the wax pool.

  • Burn Time

    On the intial burn, allow your candle to achieve a full wax pool. This generally occurs within 2-3 hours. Avoid burning your candle for over 4 hours at a time in one burning period.

  • Flame Size

    If the flame is burning too high, smoking or flickering, extinguish the candle and allow to cool. Retrim the wick to 1/4 inch and ensure a clean wax pool before relighting.

  • Candle Company

    Avoid leaving your candle in reach of pets and small children to avoid incidental contact.

  • Air Way

    Ensure your candle is not near a blowing vents or under celing fans for the best candle experience.
